Travel Checklist

  • Do you have/need travel insurance?

  • Do you have available pages in your passport?

  • Do you have your travel confirmations?  Don’t forget in-country airfare as well as hotel!

  • Make copies of your passport!

  • Give a copy of your itinerary to a friend or family member who is not traveling with you.

  • Know the location of your consulate/embassy.  If you are a US traveler, register with the SMART Traveler program.

  • Double check the dates of your reservations.

  • Check the weather and pack accordingly!

  • Don’t forget electronic cords and charge all electronics before you leave.

  • Place a stop on your mail (and any regularly scheduled service) or ask a friend or family member to pick it up while you’re gone.

  • Let your credit card companies know you are traveling so your card isn’t rejected.

  • If you’d like uninterrupted cellular service, add an international plan to your cell phone.

  • Pack an extra set of clothing and snacks in your carry on - just in case!

  • Don’t forget the sunscreen and the bug spray!
