Rental Car

We’re happy to provide recommendations and driving directions. We highly recommend that guests do not drive after dark. Please also note that gas in Belize could cost much more than you’re used to at home.

We rent with Budget Rent a Car. They are located in Belize City and Placencia and accept all major credit cards. Booking agency pays net rental rate per day prior to the client’s arrival. Clients pay CDW/LDW and 12.5% tax per day upon arrival.

Payments by client to Budget can be done by cash however a credit card in renter’s name must also be presented; the credit card is used only as a security to confirm the rental and will be swiped only for credit card verification. Renters who cannot present a credit card will not be allowed a rental.
