Snorkel at Hol Chan Marine Reserve & Shark Ray Alley

A snorkel adventure awaits you at Hol Chan Marine Reserve! Depart from San Pedro by boat and head southeast to Hol Chan (Maya for “Little Channel”), the first marine reserve established in Central America. Explore the coral reefs as you swim amongst the abundant marine life. Then head to your second snorkel stop, Shark Ray Alley. Friendly reef fish including snappers and jacks dart in and about graceful stingrays and the inquisitive brown nurse sharks for an experience not to be missed. After your personal encounter with an abundance of colorful and stunning marine life, you will be transferred back to the Town of San Pedro.

Snorkel at Mexico Rocks

A snorkeling adventure awaits you at Mexico Rocks! Depart from San Pedro by boat and head northeast for a scenic cruise to Mexico Rocks. Explore the abundant marine life in shallow crystal clear waters. This site is well known for excellent sightings of grouper, lobster, barracuda, sand sharks, and tiny blue tropical fish.

Barrier Reef Scuba Diving 2-Tank Dive

Multiple local dive sites lie just beyond the reef’s crest, a short 5-10 minute boat ride from our dock. Average dive depths range from 60-80 ft. Dive into a vivid terrain of fleshy boulder and pillar coral formations, amongst waving sea fans and sponges as you glide over the spur and groove canyon formations. A variety of colorful fish, including the more elusive marine species like large groupers, nurse sharks, gliding eagle rays and turtles, swim alongside as you explore their world.

Xunantunich Maya Temples & The Belize Zoo

After a boat ride or quick flight to Belize City as you head for the wildlife habitat known as The Belize Zoo. The zoo was created as a sanctuary for the country’s indigenous species and is now home for an impressive array of large cats, primates, reptiles and birds. A visit to the zoo gives you the opportunity to see Belize’s amazing wildlife in one location. The adventure continues with a scenic drive up the Western Highway to the Cayo (pronounced Ky-o) District. Xunantunich (Maya for “Maiden of the Rock”) sits just inside the Western border of Belize. Before reaching the entrance of this ancient city, your party will board a 19th-century hand-cranked ferry that takes you across the Mopan River. The ruins are located on one of the highest plateaus in the area and it is possible to climb to the top of “El Castillo”, the largest of the temples at this site. From this vantage point, one gains a panoramic view of the Cayo District and nearby Guatemala.

Xunantunich Maya Temples & Barton Creek Cave by Canoe

After a fifteen-minute flight into Belize City, your adventure will begin with a scenic drive up the Western Highway to the Cayo (pronounced Ky-o) District. Xunantunich (Maya for “Maiden of the Rock”) sits just inside the Western border of Belize. Before reaching the entrance of this ancient city, your party will board a 19th century hand-cranked ferry which takes you across the Mopan River. The ruins are actually located on one of the highest plateaus in the area and it is possible to climb to the top of “El Castillo”, the largest of the temples at this site. From this vantage point, one gains a panoramic view of the Cayo District and nearby Guatemala.

Next, you will continue to Barton Creek Cave in Amish territory. Equipped with canoes and high-powered lights you will paddle into Xibalba (she-bal-ba). As you glide through the cave system you will be dazzled by the glistening crystalline rock formations and awed by the Mayan artifacts secretly tucked away in overhead alcoves.

Special Note - Canoes are self-paddled with 3-person capacity.
